Fly to Wellington then to Blenheim on New Zealand air

Met Jeff / Meesh / Marie/ Jack at airpot to get van to Waikawa marina

Dinner at Jolly Roger 6 pm

First night on board Waikawa marina

Mon 5 Feb

Coffee in morning at dock

Cruise briefing in morning with provision packing

First day under moror sail from Waikawa Marina

Raised sails, solved problems 

Pictures with new crew shirts

First night at Punga Cove at Camp Bay in Endeavor Inlet 

Dinner was Fish and risotto by Jack and Marie

Tue 6 Feb

Stayed at Punga because  chance to walk the Trail

Some went on 7 mile trail walk to Furneaux Lodge on NW inlet

    water taxi  back at 1530.

Joe and Laura came back earlier, and relaxed

Crew meal at Punga Cove formal dinner on shore 

Wed 6 Feb

Headed early NW to Cook Monument at Meretoto Ship Cove

Dinghied ashore and some went to see non-existent waterfalls

One dinghy ran out of fuel, or other issue.  Happens to everyone

Saw two penguins at Te Agutsore near boat buoy

 Boat displaced by "Lola" at special buoy at Cockle's Cove, so

   went across to join Ocoromai at Arthurs Bay (taking a resort buoy)

Crew meal at Aurthurs Bay in Bay of Many Coves

   Nanden and Napur chicken stir fry

Switched Larry and Jack/Marie to the other boat

Sailed up the sound to the outer islands

Stayed at Lochmara resort for South wind protection

Fri 8 Feb

Left Lochmara for a day sail on sound

Switched Sam and Anne so we had Sam all day on our boat

Lunch rounding Ruakaka Bay while motoring verry slowly 

Found a CC mooring occupied in Kaipakirikiri Bay, kicked him off

Ocoromai took a nearby #12 club mooring just out of site.

Lots of kayaking and visiting a nearby beach

Early motor to Lockmara resort for day anchorage

10 mile walk to Queens Charlotte Track to a Onahau Lookout at 2500 feet

Happy hour at the lodge with hikers

Joint pasta meal at our boat with all seats taken, and a music whirlwind

Fierce NW winds all day, gusty to 35 knots

Left Lochmara for another South wind gusty sail

Switch Naden/Napur with Jeff/Meesh for day sail

Worked upwind in 20 knot gusts and seas.  Very fun

Lunch rounding Ruakaka Bay while idle sailing only on main

Circumnavigated Oriacamo on buoy and motoring

Trip down to ?? bay for snapshots of NZ cooking show location

Last full crew dinner at Lochmara diner
